Reports To: General Director of Special Education
Position Purpose:
To assist the building administrator and staff with the usual office routines and practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate office machines
- Excellent written language skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to respect confidences
- Ability to handle pressure/stress and ambiguity
Physical/Emotional Requirements: The incumbent may be required to use the following skills and abilities during any part of the working day.
Moving throughout the work location, lifting 10-20 lbs., hand/finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination; above average time pressure, intensity and analytical thinking due to multiple, unrelated demands on time and attention; verbal & written communication.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Performs general secretarial duties
- Places and receives telephone calls
- Orders and maintains supplies
- Helps to coordinate meetings
- Other duties as requested by the General Director, Coordinators/CTs, Administrative Asst to Principal, and Business Manager
Terms of Employment:
Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of clerical staff.
