Reports To:   Coordinator of Professional Learning 

 

Position Purpose:     To ensure that all records regarding professional learning are kept accurately with special attention to individual professional development plans submission.

 

Qualifications:           Background in recordkeeping, maintaining budgets, data entry, strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; ability to work accurately with interruptions, ability to comfortably and professionally interact with the general public; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; ability to handle stressful situations; experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database applications; good organizational, time management,  and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team; ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion; punctual, and understanding of school operations.

 

Physical/Emotional Requirements:  (The incumbent may be required to use the following skills and abilities during any part of the working day.) Speaking, hearing, visual, eye hand coordination, mobility, consistency of temperament, able to attend to detail, and work well with a variety of people.

 

 Performance Responsibilities:      

  • Maintain the Frontline Management System for professional growth, i.e., entering professional development points
  • Assist on occasion with the planning activities and programs, such as meetings, orientations, conferences, and trainings
  • Maintain a calendar for room reservations for professional learning
  • Enter the data for payment roster for identified employees
  • Establish and maintain the check-out system for checking out materials
  • Enter absences for teachers attending professional learning
  • Establishe and maintain office files, logs and prepare detailed reports, i.e budgets
  • Compose and type routine letters, memoranda, reports, agendas, minutes
  • Receive and screen visitors and telephone calls, take messages, schedules appointments
  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Maintain confidentiality of documents and information received
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee

 

Terms of Employment:       

 

12 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.

 

Evaluation:

 

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board policy on evaluation of personnel.
