Reports To:  Transportation Manager

 

Position Purpose:

To assist the Transportation Manager and staff with the usual office routines and practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to operate office machines
  • Excellent written language skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to respect confidences
  • Ability to handle pressure/stress and ambiguity

Physical/Emotional Requirements:  The incumbent may be required to use the following skills and abilities during any part of the working day.

 

Moving throughout the work location, lifting 10-20 lbs., hand/finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination; above-average time pressure, intensity, and analytical thinking due to multiple, unrelated demands on time and attention; verbal & written communication.

 

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Performs general secretarial duties
  • Places and receives telephone calls
  • Orders and maintains supplies
  • Helps to coordinate meetings
  • Other duties as requested by the Transportation Manager and Business Manager

 Terms of Employment:

 

Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.

 

Evaluation:

 

Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of clerical staff.
