This position works with the District’s Information Technology Department to maintain the District’s website and internet-based applications. The person selected will work with stakeholders throughout the district - including students, parents, and staff - to improve their experience with web-based applications.
This position requires troubleshooting experience working with both end-users and application software. Preferred consideration will be given to candidates familiar with district web-based software applications.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in web coding (advanced HTML, CSS, PHP)
- Knowledge and experience in relational databases (e.g. MySQL, SQLServer)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong collaboration and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with computer related coursework
- Working experience working in an educational setting
- Familiarity with educational web-based applications
- Familiarity with HTTP and Java Application Servers (e.g. Apache, Tomcat)
- Experience with Linux, Mac OS X, Windows 10, Widows Server, and other operating software platforms
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate implementation of the District's internet, intranet, and extranet applications
- Ensure that district website is cross-platform and cross-browser compatible
- Support for Communications Department's use of Website & Social Media applications
- Support schools and departments with use of Website & Social Media applications
- Collaborate with user support team on web-based application software
- Support and maintain district staff site and curriculum repository
- Support the integration of web-based business and student information databases
