Reports To: Billie Zabokrtsky-Wallace, Assistant Superintendent
Qualifications:
- Business or accounting degree preferred or a minimum of 3 years related accounting experience
- Experience with Excel and other spreadsheet/accounting software
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Skills in budgeting, bookkeeping and accounting
- Efficient/accurate in data entry
- Ability to handle stress
- Telephone etiquette skills
Responsibilities:
Budgets
- Set up and track balances and reconcile accounts for Title I subpart A, Title I subpart D, Title IIA, school improvement grants, and other federal grants
- Compile/update budgets for school principals
- Provide assistance to schools concerning budget questions
- Work with Director of Budget/Grant Accounts
- Completes budget transfers and journal entries
- Works with Title I administrator on all budgetary and federal reporting needs
Program
- Prepare budget section of Local Consolidation Plan
- Prepare information for Revision & Carry Over report
- Prepare and complete final expenditure reports
- Compile Title I, subpart D, (Neglected/Delinquent) application
- Supervise office staff, account clerk
- Prepare financial documentation for federal/state audits
- Assist Title I administrator as needed
- Verify and oversee all payroll records
Physical Requirements:
Moving throughout the work location, lifting 10-20 lbs., hand/finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination; above average time pressure, intensity, and analytical thinking due to multiple, unrelated demands on time and attention; verbal and written communication.
Terms of Employment:
