TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
12 Month Calendar - Employee will follow 12 month CLASSIFIED calendar
Hourly wage and work year to be determined by the 501 Board of Education
Works 8 hours per day in a restaurant atmoshere
Must attend and successfully complete Food Safety Basics class within the first six months of employment, and at least once every 5 years
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
More advanced math skills, including multiplication and division
Ability to read and write the English language
Demonstrate knowledge of food safety basics
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to stand up to 8 hours
Knowledge of portion sizes
Ability to work well with others
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares all menu items using established departmental policies and procedures.
- Assures presentation of all menu items adhere to established standards.
- Assures all menu items are prepared according to established policies and procedures.
- Assures all food and other supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner so adequate inventory levels are maintained to support volume or anticipated volume.
- Assists with the training of new employees.
- Assures menu items are prepared in sufficient quantities to satisfy volumes.
- Provides services to cafeteria customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes.
- Serves food that is the correct serving temperature and quality. Takes and documents temperatures
- Sets up, maintains and breaks down food line.
- Receives deliveries when assigned.
- Develops and maintains adequate food/supplies, orders as required.
- Cleans cafeteria including serving area continually.
- Cleans cafeteria area before and after business hours.
- Prepare for next day
- Wash dishes, pots and pans as needed
- May particiapte in catering
- Other duties as assigned
